Hampshire Hospitals Charity is showcased at INSPIRE21 Business Awards

Hampshire Hospitals Charity raised its profile and pulled in the pounds at the prestigious INSPIRE21 Business Awards.

On Thursday 25 November, 350 guests attended the Destination Basingstoke-run awards at The Hampshire Court Hotel, in Chineham, Basingstoke.

Just ahead of the award winners being announced, a charity game of heads and tails took place to raise funds for Hampshire Hospitals Charity.

The generous audience donated £2,505 and The Hampshire Court hotel kindly donated a wonderful spa package prize for the winner.

Steve Erskine, chairman of Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and a trustee of Hampshire Hospitals Charity, and Dr Lara Alloway, chief medical officer at Hampshire Hospitals and also a trustee of the charity, were among the guests at the awards.

Steve said: “Thank you so much to the INSPIRE21 Business Awards steering group for choosing Hampshire Hospitals Charity as this year’s event charity. The trustees are grateful to everyone for their donations, and the INSPIRE21 event provided a great platform to showcase what Hampshire Hospitals Charity does.

“Supporting and caring for people is at the heart of the charity’s mission, its goal is to make a difference to our local Hampshire Hospitals NHS heroes and the patients they care for, and the money raised at INSPIRE21 will contribute to this vital work.

“Congratulations to all the winners and finalists at the INSPIRE21 Business Awards, and thank you to the people who donated and showed an interest in supporting the ongoing work of Hampshire Hospitals Charity.”

Hampshire Hospitals Charity is proud to be a member of NHS Charities Together – one of 240 NHS member charities across the UK that provide the extra support needed to care for NHS staff, patients and local communities.
