Get involved

Each year, Hampshire Hospitals Charity needs to raise around £1million to be able to enhance the experience of patients, visitors, staff and volunteers within our hospitals. The support of our local community is vital in ensuring we can grow a happier, healthier Hampshire.

We’re here to support you every step of the way

Your fundraising is incredibly important to us and those we support, so when you embark on a fundraising idea, we’ll be your biggest cheerleader and we’ll do whatever we can to help you achieve your goals.

This may include:

  • Buckets and banners – branded collection pots, buckets and banners can all be loaned.

  • T-shirts – we can supply you with a t-shirt so everyone knows who you’re raising money for.

  • Hampshire Hospitals Charity website – we can add your event to our events diary for all to see.

  • Facebook – if you set up a Facebook event page, invite us to co-host.

  • Logo – we can provide our logo to use when promoting the event.

  • Ambassador – if you’d like a representative at your event, either to thank people for coming or to talk to attendees about the work of the charity, we can arrange for one of our ambassadors to attend, subject to sufficient notice and availability.

  • Fundraising team – Let us know what you’re doing and we’ll do all we can to shout about it too. We have a wealth of fundraising experience between us and we’re on hand with advice and suggestions if you need us – just ask.

The difference you make

During the pandemic, the sensory room at Basingstoke & North Hampshire Hospital closed, and remained closed for over three years. Last refurbished in 2005, after nearly 20 years, much of the equipment didn’t meet restrictions of infection control and, due to wear and tear, the majority of the equipment was broken beyond repair.

Thanks to your generous donations, Hampshire Hospitals Charity has been able to invest £11,000 in this much needed service to bring a sensory room back to the children of Basingstoke.
